5 things I’m loving right now

5 things I’m loving right now; Good American Jeans, Gorilla Snot, Soap & Glory Great Kisser, Shea Moisture, and “Someone to love you” by Ruff Endz

Like all of you, there are numerous thoughts that go through my mind on a daily basis. However, it has occurred to me that the majority of these thoughts revolve around food, clothes, and sleep. Even though I don’t have issues with sharing the ideas that live in my head, I’m only going to share a few of them – today anyway.

I’ve seen quite a few posts of compiled liked items, so I figured I would come up with one too. So, here are five items I am loving right now!

1.) A Great Kisser lip balm by Soap & Glory

The one item I cannot leave my house without – besides my phone, is my lip balm. I absolutely love A Great Kisser lip balm by Soap & Glory. I stumbled upon this joy in a tin in the “impulse buying bins” by the checkout at Sephora, and I’ve been attached to it ever since. It keeps my lips soft, moist and shiny throughout the day, plus they come in some delicious flavors, which can be a lovely treat for your beau. You can snag some at these fine stores; Hollar, Skinstore, eBay, and Amazon. The prices start at $3.99.

2.) Gorilla Snot hair gel

I admit that when I initially read the name of this hair gel I was a little taken back. Am I really going to use something called gorilla snot on my hair?? I’ve tried several products for edge control, however I had a hard time finding one that worked on my hair. Most of the ones I used would only hold my hair in place for a short amount of time and I had to reapply. But, this gel works great. It holds my hair in place all day with no fly-aways. The only con I have with this product is it does leave a residue, but using dry shampoo is an easy and quick fix for that. You can find some at most beauty supply stores, Target, Walmart, and some grocery stores. The prices start at $2.69.

3.) Shea Moisture Bath & Body

In one of my first blog posts, I shared my thoughts on what it means to be “well dressed.” To me it goes beyond the clothes on our backs and shoes on our feet. For me, being well dressed and “put together” begins with how I feel. And one thing that helps me feel good is great bath and body products. If it smells good and leaves my skin smooth and soft, I am a fan. Shea Moisture products are on my list because of the infusion of essential oils and ingredients they use in their body wash, lotions, oils, and scrubs. I am a huge fan of their Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Energizing bath, body, and massage oil. It smells wonderful and it makes my skin feel soft, smooth and hydrated! You can find their products at Target, Walmart, Ulta, Amazon, and sheamoisture.com. Prices start around $7.99.

4.) Good American Jeans by Khloe Kardashian

I consider jeans to be my wardrobe staple. They are versatile for almost any occasion. They can be dressed up or toned down depending on my mood or situation. I have been searching for the “perfect” pair of jeans for my body type – and I think I found them. I now believe it is possible to be in love with a pair of jeans. I “discovered” Good American Jeans on Nordstrom.com a few months ago. From the pictures on the website they looked absolutely delicious – so, I decided to give them a try. They look, feel, and fit great. They range between $159 and $199. If you are open to splurging on yourself, I highly recommend these jeans. For the most part, I consider these jeans to fit true to size, however I would suggest wearing a belt – they are stretchy and fit like a dream. If you don’t mind flaunting what your Momma gave you – buy these jeans!

5.) “Someone to Love You” by Ruff Endz

My playlist consists of songs that were more than likely created before 2006 and I like it that way. A few weeks ago I was reminded of the song “Someone to Love You” by Ruff Endz, which was released in 2002. I’ve played it so many times that if it had been a CD or tape it would be defective by now. I am loving this song for several reasons; the simplicity of the piano introduction followed by the strong vocals expressing his desires to love and care endlessly – what single-healthy relationship deprived woman wouldn’t like that?

Pictured below is me in my Good American jeans, MBLM by Tess Holliday jacket and Nine West pumps that I slipped on after using my Shea Moisture products, a few dabs of Gorilla Snot, and a nice layer of A Great Kisser lip balm before getting into my vehicle to begin my commute while listening to “Someone to Love You.”

Thanks for taking a deeper look into the mind of this Buxom Beauty.

Just her confessions,
