Preserving Fall

When I think of Fall I think of bold and spicy Apple Butter and the strong aroma that swirled and engulfed our home when ever my mom made it. It is definitely Falls number one essential spread. All the food that is cook tends to be comfort food, what would Fall be without its comfort food. I am a sweater and cardigan loving girl and Fall gives me the perfect excuse to wear one everyday.

Fall has always been my favorite season, the multi-colored cascading leaves create the perfect back drop for apple picking, pumpkin searching and corn maze running. Fall also brings in two of my favorite holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving. Lets all rejoice at the continuous reruns of the two classic; Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus.
I have notice that I breathe in a little more deeper, do you? Maybe it is the cool crisps air or the aroma of Starbucks's Spicy Pumpkin Lattes, I just tend to take deeper and slower breathes. You know what also brings me joy during the Fall is all the beautiful, colorful and savory soups. My favorite Fall soups are Turkey Rice Vegetable, Chicken Noddle Soup Casserole and Baked Potato Soup.
Anyways I digress, back to Apple Butter. What is not to love about this Fall spread, the beautiful deep brown color reminds me of the brown falling leaves. The thick, creamy, and smooth texture is inviting. You can use it on almost anything, toast, biscuits, crackers etc.. Sometime I just put in a bowl and eat it like applesauce.
Well enough of the chit chat, through my my photos I will show you how I Preserve Fall!
If you would like my recipe please comment below and also tell me what you like best about Fall.
Just my confessions,
