Fall has been wonderful so far here in Florida and coming in to the being of November it looks like we will have plenty of more fantastic cool nights. I have even been blessed to be able to wear some sorts this fall.
Your wardrobe is not the only thing that tends to change during the fall and winter months. Our skin also changes during the fall and winter months. This is mainly because the humidity levels dropping in fall and this cause the moisture to leave your skin, which then causes your skin to become dry. I have notice the past couple of days that my cheeks have been dry and flaky. Anyone else?
The three main reasons I believe that affect our skin the most in the fall and winter months are; The cold, dry air, the humidity will severely dry your skin out. Second during these months we tend to take long hot showers, yes they feel wonderful, but hot showers are actually terrible for your skin. It is best to take lukewarm showers for no more than twenty minutes at a time. Lastly, the harsh winds, the deplete your skin of its natural lipids. To help prevent this, always apply moisturizer and sunscreen, even though you don’t see the sun that much during the fall and winter it is still there.
Homemade natural facial masks are amazing and fairly easy to make. I am currently taking classes in holistic care and I am a strong advocate for natural when comes to beauty products. I try my best to avoid as many chemicals as I can. Now, I am not perfect and no one is, my goal is every year to slowly and steadily get rid of all non natural beauty products. Below I have posted two of the natural facial mask I use during the fall and winter months. If you try them, please comment below and let me know what you think.
