Colour Me Fall!

The reason I have chosen Mustard Yellow as one of my fall colours is because it is one of those colours that easily glides from summer to fall and right in to spring. This color has always been a very versatile shade, so it does not matter if you are a very “feminine” or very “sporty” typed person or something in between, you can work this colour in to your fall wardrobe. I truly believe that Mustard Yellow can work on any skin tone if you style it right. I know that the colour is a little more easier for us dark hair girls, but my light hair sister can pull it off as well. If you are not feeling brave enough to add the colour to your fall clothing, you can definitely add it yo you fall accessories… for example; a handbag, backpack, some cute flats, or a statement necklace.

The next beautiful colour I have chosen for fall is what I call Dusty Rose. This colour just screams at me love, warmth, and welcome. Now, most people when they see this colour they think of spring, but have you ever went of a morning walk in the fall and among all of the falling brown, yellow and golden leafs you can see the pops of colour from the flowers left over from summer? That is what this color reminds me of. If you pair this colour with a neutral, Dusty Rose can be a amazing and strong fall colour. Imagine this colour as scarf to complement a long flowing pale grey maxi dress…just perfect! Honestly this colour can work in any wardrobe all year around.

Lavender! Yes I said lavender in fall and the reason why? I like this color is fall because it is a colour that has the ability to soften some of the heavy fabrics that are used for fall / winter clothing and I just tend to love any kind of purple. Have you ever notice that lavender tends to bring out the eyes of any shade? I only draw the line with turtle necks, I would never wear a lavender turtle neck.

I live in Florida, so I have the luxury of wearing shorts in the Fall sometimes!

Olive Green is a sensational colour and can be paired perfectly with any neutral colour. Olive Green is one of those colours that works with on any texture of fabric. For me I can never pass up an Olive Green over sized shirt, sweater or tunic. What is also great about this colour it can be your neutral. So if you are not a big fan of browns, just replace it with a Olive Green.

Lastly for fall I have chosen blue! A lot of people will say that blue is a Summer colour, but I beg to differ blue can look fabulous in the fall when paired with a neutral. Blue is so peaceful, but just dramatic enough to be your fall statement colour. I would suggest wearing blue in the fall as a pant, cardigan or a really nice nail polish.

I will leave you with this, wear whatever colour you want, when ever you want to!

Just my confessions,

Nikki

xoxo
